How I Prevent My Skincare Products From Losing Their Efficacies

.

When it comes to efficacy of skincare product, packaging plays an important role here. Although there are many good skincare products in the market but unfortunately most of them are not able to score high ratings due to the poor packaging. When a skincare product is packed in a jar, frequent opening of the jar and exposure to the air and light will cause the nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants in the cream to break down, deteriorate and lose the efficacy.

.

This kind of packaging means that the air- and light-sensitive ingredients will become ineffective within a short period of time after the container is opened. Not to be surprised, some of the products that are displayed on the cosmetic shelves have in fact lost the efficacy even before you start using them. One of the best packaging is the airtight opaque plumping bottle.

.

So in order to keep the nutrients intact and stable, I have came up with my own alternative packaging.

There are two pretty good and expensive jar packaging eye creams that I have recently bought at Dr Woffles Wu’s clinic.

.

So in order to minimize air penetration, I have bought small containers (comes in a pair that costs S$3.90 at FairPrice) for storing small amount of the creams that are good enough for my two-week daily usage. By doing this, I can minimize the air penetration and to keep the ingredients stable.

.

I have also kept the full-size products in the fridge and I have in fact reserved one of the compartment (section for fruits and vegetables) to store all my other beauty products too. :-)
