In March 2013, Clarins is proud to introduce the new White Plus Total Luminescent, with a first-ever innovative approach that gives skin a fair, more translucent, with an even and rosy glow.
When I first learned about the launch of this new White Plus Total Luminescent, I was very excited about it, as I personally fond of whitening products and also adore some of the Clarins White Plus products, such as the Gentle Renewing Brightening Peel, Gentle Brightening Exfoliator and Day Screen High Protection SPF 40.
This new, major breakthrough in skin-whitening research promotes not only fairer, more even skin, but also to grant Asian women their wish of achieving healthy-looking transparency and rosy luminescence, as if it were from within. The new White Plus Total Luminescent are (from left) Pearl-to-Cream Brightening Cleanser, Brightening Pure Aqua-Lotion, Intensive Brightening Serum (in 50ml and 30ml), All Spots Brightening Corrector, Brightening Hydrating Emulsion and Brightening Soft Aqua-Milk.
The new White Plus Total Luminescent, retailing from S$56 to S$130, will be available at all Clarins beauty counters from 1st March 2013 onwards.
White Plus Total Luminescent Revives Millions Of The Skin’s Micro-Mirrors At Every Layer!
Did you know that while the skin seems to absorb the light, 4.7% of this light is reflected on the skin’s surface, and more than 90% penetrates into the skin and interacts with other skin structures?
For the first time, Clarins Laboratories carried out an extensive study on the skin’s optical properties, and discovered that the skin is like a mirror, made up of millions of “micro-mirrors”, as every layer! And the interactions with the light are responsible for its appearance, giving the skin its color and radiance, reflecting a total luminescence.
A unique Trans-Luminescent Complex®
For the new White Plus Total Luminescent, Clarins Research Innovation has developed a unique Trans-Luminescent Complex®: based on the best of plant extracts, it combines the most effective ingredients to act on all the skin’s micro-mirror structures and helps revive the skin’s luminescence, layer by layer!
Skin looks fair, more translucent, with an even and rosy glow!
- Sandspurry extract acts on the first 4 steps of melanin production
- Alchemilla extract reinforces the action of sandspurry extract on melanin production, in the fifth step of melanogenesis
- Ginkgo biloba extract protects blood vessels’ internal lining to help preserve healthy microcirculation
White Plus Total Luminescent contains high molecular weight (HMW) hyaluronic acid that preserves corneal cells from dehydration to boost their capacity to reflect the light: It improves skin hydration for up to 94% after 2 hours of use.
New White Plus Total Luminescent
I’m glad to receive a range of the NEW White Plus Total Eclaircissant products. Will likely be trying out the cleanser pretty soon. If time allows, I will probably do a review on it.
Intensive Brightening Serum – S$130 / 30ml
This Intensive Brightening Serum actually available in two sizes, 30ml and 50ml. This brightening serum is claimed to provide a fairer, more even skin with ultimate translucency and healthy-looking, rosy luminescence.
It glides on like a smooth caress, and instantly blends and dissolves into the skin. Apply it with light pressing motions, morning and night. Study has shown that 91% users notice less yellowish skin tone and 87% of them notice an improved rosy luminescence and a more even, unified and clearer complexion.

Brightening Soft Aqua-Milk – S$65 / 200ml
A smooth comforting milky skin care lotion is essential for softening the skin and refreshes the epidermis. It has a slightly richer texture than the Hydrating Emulsion and therefore is ideal for dry-prone skin and cold weather.
Spotted no alcohol, great!
Brightening Pure Aqua-Lotion – S$65 / 200ml
This skin care lotion is essential for relaxing the skin, purifies and helps to tighten pores. It is also claimed to refresh and tone the epidermis. Ideal for combination skin and hot climates.
Pretty uncomfortable to spot alcohol as the second ingredient.
Pearl-to-Cream Brightening Cleanser – S$56 / 125ml
A rich foaming cream with a pampering feel. It gently cleanses and purifies the skin thanks to the natural foaming properties of gypsophila extract. leaves the skin fresh and comfortably soft. The refreshing gel texture lathers into a generous foam to give a wonderful, comfortable sensation.
Here’s the ingredient list for the cleanser. I will be sharing my opinion on the ingredients when I’m doing the review later.
All Spots Brightening Corrector – S$88 / 7ml
This easy to use, roll-on with a targeted application offers ultra-concentrated anti-imperfection skin care benefits. It contains Salicylic acid that helps to reduce dark spots by encouraging the elimination of dead cells full of melanin which have accumulated on the skin surface. Thanks to meadowsweet extract, it prevents the proliferation of bacteria at the skin surface and helps to limit the inflammation process.
The roll-on can be applied in the morning and night, directly on the dark spot or small imperfection. Leave it to penetrate the skin.
New White Plus Total Luminescent, retailing from S$56 to S$130, will be available at all Clarins beauty counters from 1st March 2013 onwards.
