Reviews – Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation, Touche Eclat Radiant Touch & Semi-Loose Powder

The recent opening of Yves Saint Laurent boutique store at ION Orchard #B2-34 is one of the greatest news to makeup junkies like me! I have to say Yves Saint Laurent offers some of the best and award-winning makeup products in town.

A few weeks ago, I decided to head down to the new store to pick up my complimentary Le Teint Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation and a matching Touche Eclat Radiant Touch Highlighter Pen. :D

A lady sales assistant who attended to me, helped to select the ideal shade to match my skin tone. For my yellow undertone, she recommended shade B 30 Beige (left) for the foundation and shade 3.5 (right) for the Radiant Touch Highlighter Pen.

Touche Éclat Radiant Touch Highlighter Pen – S$55

Created in 1992, TOUCHE ÉCLAT, the best-selling and award-winning highlighter, is a MUST-HAVE Yves Saint Laurent product I long to own!

This cult classic beauty product is no doubt the best beauty secret of the world’s top makeup artists and models! Loved by celebrities, editors and VIPs too! Even Taiwanese celebrity makeup artist Kevin from Queens (女人我最大) swears by it too!

One TOUCHE ÉCLAT is sold every 10 seconds around the world. WOW!

I have gotten shade 3.5 Luminous Almond.

This highlighter click-pen can be applied before or after foundation. This pen is magical! The well-formulated texture is superb, ultra light and silky smooth that glides on the skin easily. It perfectly brightens, highlights and even conceals the dark eye circles, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, rosacea, cheek bone and hollow areas. The result is awesome!

With just a few magic strokes, my skin instantly appears luminously radiant and flawless. The best thing is it feels so light on my skin, I can’t even tell I have it on at all! Absolutely invisible yet my face appears highlighted! Amazing!

Nowadays, instead of using my usual compact powder to touch up my face in the middle of the day, I can now substitute it with this highlighter pen.

Touche Éclat Radiant Touch Highlighter Pen has now became my must-have makeup product I can’t leave without!

Touche Éclat Radiant Touch Highlighter Pen available in 8 shades in Singapore.

Le Teint Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation – S$75

After 20 years of innovation creation of the best-selling TOUCHE ÉCLAT, Yves Saint Laurent is proud to introduce the latest foundation – Le Teint Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation.

Le Teint Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation is proclaimed as the illuminating magic light of TOUCHE ÉCLAT in a foundation! Well after using it, I totally agreed with it! Two hands up! Absolutely awesome!

One pump is all I need for the whole face.

In the recent years, I have been painstakingly searching around for the best foundation. It has to be lightweight with buildable coverage yet without appearing heavy on the skin, even out my skin tone and provides natural, radiant and long-lasting finish that doesn’t run when I perspire especially. And most importantly, it won’t oxidize on my oily skin in the day. My skin tends to turn oily in the day (lunch hour) after less than 30 minutes of sun exposure.

To be true, I actually hate applying foundation lately. Whenever I perspire or skin becomes oily (due to sun exposure), the foundation will just melt off my skin. It is especially annoying to see frame marks on my face upon taking off my sunglasses.

(Above image) WOW!! The foundation doesn’t run nor melt even after more than 12 hours later with no single touch up at all! I was actually under the super hot sun for more than an hour on the same afternoon and I was wearing my sunglasses on. Fortunately with Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation there is no trace of frame marking on my face at all. Amazing long-lasting result! Awesome! :D

Btw, I was wearing the Yves Saint Laurent signature hot red lipstick, Rouge Pur Couture No.13. Love the color!

I never like heavy foundation and I extremely prefer lightweight foundation that gives a natural sheer coverage. And this foundation perfectly matches what I’m looking for. With buildable coverage, I can now layer the foundation two to three times over the same area without skin looking thick nor cakey. Since I like sheer coverage, I don’t even bother to fully conceal my super dark spots on my cheek areas. However, if you prefer something that gives a complete coverage, I will suggest you conceal your imperfection with concealer instead. I will definitely opt for a lightweight foundation that gives a translucent, moisturized, silky complexion overall than heavy, cakey and dry skin. As the saying goes “when less is more and more is less”.

Upon application, the foundation instantly gives a radiant, sheer-glow and flawless complexion. My skin feels hydrated and satin-smooth without any greasiness at all. I finally find a perfect color match (B 30 Beige) that blends so well with my skin tone. In addition, it feels ultra light on my skin and I almost can’t tell I have foundation on at all! The foundation doesn’t oxidize even after many hours later.

Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation is probably the BEST foundation I’ve tested so far.

Le Teint Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation available in 10 shades (in 3 tonalities) with SPF19 broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection.

Poudre Sur Mesure Semi-Loose Powder Natural Radiance – S$90

I’ve received this loose powder during my second visit to the store actually. The sales assistant has helped to select No. 2 (Sable Sand) for my fair yellowish skin tone.

I give a thumbs up for the packaging. This setting powder comes with a grinder that grinds the pressed powder into loose powder and I can control the amount of powder to use by twisting the top lid.

It also comes with a brush and I can control the amount using that too. Hence there’s no wastage at all. The compact fluffy brush delivers a light, even dusting of powder. I only need to use very little of the powder, a little goes a long way!

The powder is super fine and it gives a translucent, silky smooth, flawless finish. The ultra fine texture doesn’t clog my pores which is good. I actually love the dewy-matte invisible finish that doesn’t appear dry nor cakey at all.

Poudre Sur Mesure Semi-Loose Powder Natural Radiance is one of the best finished powder I’ve tested so far!

Poudre Sur Mesure Semi-Loose Powder Natural Radiance available in 4 shades in Singapore.

Here’s my complete look with Touche Eclat Radiant Touch (S$55), Le Teint Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation (S$75) and Poudre Sur Mesure Semi-Loose Powder (S$90).

Plus YSL Ombres 5 Lumieres Eyeshadow Palette (No.4)(S$95), YSL Long-lasting Waterproof Eye Pencil (No.2)(S$38), YSL Waterproof Mascara (No.4 electric blue)(S$52), YSL Radiance Blush (No.4)(S$70), Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick No.42 (top) and No.13 (above), both retailing at S$45.

    Hi Shirleen,

Would you advise if a primer base is necesary before applying the YSL liquid foundation or just apply it alone will be suffice for best coverage?

    • Shirleen says:

      Hi Shirley,

I usually do not apply primer base prior the YSL liquid foundation. The coverage seems fine for me as I prefer it light.

Hi there! Chanced upon your blog when I was looking for YSL Touche Eclat highlighter pen review.
I loved the difference each of these product makes on your skin.
By the way, if I were to do make up for you, I would give more definition to the hollows of your cheeks with a matt bronzer , and the sides of your nose to give a sharper nose bridge look. I think this would really bring out your nice features. =)
