Review – La Mer The Eye Concentrate

 

For so long, I have always wanted to try a La Mer product since it started launching many years ago. I bought this La Mer The Eye Concentrate (finally my first La Mer product) while I was shopping at Duty-Free @Narita Airport. What tempted me to buy it is the specially-engineered, silver-tipped applicator which is claimed to helps cool the skin, immediately improving micro-circulation.

Product claims

This concentrated, ultraluxe eye treatment quenches and conditions impressionable skin. The Eye Concentrate significantly reduces the appearance of dark circles and puffiness, lines and wrinkles, encouraging the eye area to look and feel healthy, supple and luminous as never before.

Marketing claims

The Eye Concentrate is also marketed as infused with three unique forms of Miracle BrothTM : the original, a concentrated form and a new, encapsulated form designed to optimize continuous release to the skin. Known for is healing energies, this seaborne elixir infuses skin with the energy it needs to focus on renewal.

The Eye Concentrate contains some state-of-the-art ingredients for improving and maintaining healthy and supple skin.

It also contains a wealth of antioxidants, like yeast extract, medicago sativa (alfalfa) seed powder, copper gluconate and whey protein. Retinyl palmitate, a form of vitamin A, research shown it to be effective as an antioxidant and skin-cell regulator. 

Magnesium gluconate is an essential mineral the body uses to maintain circulatory and nervous function.

Acetyl hexapeptide-3 is claimed to have a muscle-relaxing effect similar to Botox injections, thus reducing the appearance of expression lines.

Hesperidin methyl chalcone is claimed to banish dark eye circles and aids vein problems. Caffeine helps to reduce cellulite or puffy eyes.

Texture and usage

Lightweight and penetrate well into the skin. Dab a small amount and gently sweep onto the eye area with applicator morning and evening.

The results

Slight reduction on the appearance of dark eye circles and puffiness. It also helps to soften the appearance of lines and wrinkles around the eye area.
