Review – Clinique Super Rescue Antioxidant Night Moisturizer

Moisturizer is one of the most basic and important daily skin care regimen for me. Although moisturizer does not eliminate wrinkles, fine lines, pigmentations or firm up skin but it does one wonderful thing - to seal the skin with all the nutrients that I have applied earlier.

It also has the important function of repairing the protective skin lipid barrier, so that the skin does not lose too much fluid and feel dry, irritated and show more lines.

The primary purpose of the moisturizer is to seal. It should feel good and make the skin feel soft and moisturized. This is actually the pampering phase of the skin care routine.

With rosacea, dry and sensitive skin, looking for a moisturizer can be a challenge for me. I will easily get flared up if the products I’ve used contain skin irritant ingredients. So after much searching, I finally found Clinique Super Rescue Antioxidant Night Moisturizer.

Product Claims

No matter how well you protect your skin, sun, stress and pollution bring daily damage. Now a potent moisturizer works overnight to deliver a unique complex of eight rapid and delayed-release antioxidants that defuse this free-radical activity. Helps keep skin strong and prevent visible signs of aging.

Clinique Super Rescue Antioxidant Night Moisturizer contains handful of antioxidants like perilla ocymoides, rosemary extract, curcuma longa root extract and tocopheryl acetate to combat free radicals.

This well-formulated moisturizer also contains shea butter, fatty acids, glycerin, cell-communicating ingredients and skin-identical ingredients to help keep skin hydrate and soft.

Clinique Super Rescue Antioxidant Night Moisturizer comes in different formulation to suit different skin types. There are for : 1) Combination Oily to Oily Skin, 2) Dry Combination skin and 3) Very Dry to Dry Skin.

Clinique Super Rescue Antioxidant Night Moisturizer, for dry combination skin, is a perfect choice for my rosacea, dry and sensitive skin.

What I like about this product is that it contains NO fragrance and NO alcohol, so it is extremely safe for my rosacea and sensitive skin.

I have read many beauty books written by doctors and I realized a few of them have recommended Clinique for their safe and well-formulated products.

This stabilized non-oily moisturizer contains handful of antioxidant ingredients but the amounts may be miniscule to actually stop free radical damage. It can only diffuse and reduce free radical activity.

The texture is lightweight though slightly creamy and it doesn’t clog my pores at all. My skin feels slightly shiny after use and I will only use this product at night, so it’s fine for me. The next morning, (sleeping in the air-con room) my skin feels soft and hydrated with very little shine on some areas. :-)

All in all, Clinique Super Rescue Antioxidant Night Moisturizer, fragrance- and alcohol-FREE, is my perfect choice as the final touch to seal. It’s one of the best moisturizer I have tried so far.

Will I buy it again? Yes for sure!

    Hi Anne,

Presently, I’m using various brands on my daily regimen and have been doing that for many years. I strongly believe to get the best product on each category. So it is alright to mix different brands on your skincare regimen. :-)

The brands I’m currently using :
    Cleanser (either Sana or Lancome)
    Face Wash (Simple)
Lotion (both Aqualabel & Hada Labo)
Eye Serum/Cream (ALL 5 different brands from Dr Woffles Wu for Day&Night)
    Exfoliant (Paula’s Choice)
Antioxidant Serum (ALL Paula Choice, SkinCeuticals & Estee Lauder)
    Day Moisturizer (Physiogel A1)
Night Moisturizer (finishing Clinique and starting Sana)

Fyi, I have many products and I have repetitive products on certain categories hence I will usually depend on my mood when choosing which to use on that particular day….. hee hee……. But things like eye products and antioxidant serums, I will use all of them stated above.

Hope this information helps you. :-)

as a new user of Made from Earth skin products, I will say so far I like their Olive Night Creme. In the winter I need a moisture, but I use organic oils as well…

This night cream is nice and thick, but not greasy with a light natural aroma. It has even helped to reduce the appearance of wrinkles on my forehead.

Hey there, I have combination skin (T zone) as well.. The moisturizer I use is from Shielo.. It’s called Shielo Complexion AntiAging Moisturizer .. I don’t know if you’ll find the similar one where you stay.. But this moisturizer from Shielo is for oily or combination skin .. I really like this brand.. It doesn’t cause me any break outs.. Hope this helps!!

I put the Olive Night Creme (from Made from Earth) on an night and immediately feel my face more moisturized. In the morning my face also feels softer, smoother and not as tired as the days when I do not use it. it has really worked for me!!! it is non greasy and my fine lines are not as noticeably. I do think this is a great product.

Got something to say? Go for it!
