Review – Paula’s Choice Resist Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator

.

A couple of weeks back, I’ve reviewed 2 of my latest favorite anti-aging skincare products from Paula’s Choice and they are nevertheless one of the best anti-aging products I’ve tested so far! 5 stars for both and highly recommended! And now I’m continuing to review the 3rd Resist product – NEW Paula’s Choice Resist Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator.

Review

Paula’s Choice Resist Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator is formulated for normal, oily, combination or blemish-prone skin.

To me, Resist Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator is more than just a moisturizer. It not only helps to provide moisture to the skin, it also helps to superficially stimulate healthy collagen production, repair sun damage and reduce discolorations, and thanks to the antioxidants and skin-repairing ingredients in it.

The lightweight silky gel-like texture absorbs into the skin pretty fast. My skin feels smooth without any greasiness at all. I believe consumers with oily or combination skin will probably like the texture pretty much. It can be used for day and night. I have normal to slightly dry skin, so for the night use I actually prefer something richer as I always like to perform a quick lifting massage after my final step in night regimen. Most of the time, this non-occlusive moisturizer dries up half way before I can finish the massage.

This Resist moisturizer can be used on the face and around the eyes too as Paula Begoun strongly believes that product formulations for eye creams don’t differ from those for face products and hence a separate eye cream is not required. Unless if the skin under the eyes happens to be drier than the skin on the rest of the face. As my lower eyelids are pretty dry and wrinkled, this Resist moisturizer doesn’t able to provide sufficient moisture on the areas. Hence, I have to use a separate eye cream.

One great thing about Resist Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator is that it is free of fragrance and harmful skin irritants which is certainly suitable for my rosasea and sensitive skin. And I’m glad that since after using it for almost a month now, my rosasea and occasional irritation have hardly occurred so far.

But what I actually do not like is the pump system! I have to press so hard on the pump in order to dispense the product and my fingers occasionally get messy with the fluid.

Resist Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator is highly recommended to those with oily or acne-prone skin and want to combat aging at the same time.

    Hi Shirleen,

Would u consider this hydrator sufficient as a moisturizer and as a final step in the skincare regime? I just bought sample sizes based on ur reviews and I can’t wait to try them!

Can u also advise on the order if I include the weekly resurfacing treatment and daily smoothing treatment together with the anti aging clear skin hydrator and the super antioxidant concentrate serum?

    Day:
    Toner-hada

    Night:

    Hi Pynk,

I’m glad you have started to take good care of your skin.

If you like something lightweight, this hydrator will be ideal for you and it is sufficient to be used as a moisturizer for day and night.

Your day regimen is correct but for the night regimen, you need to switch 2 products.

    Night :
toner – skii facial treatment essence – daily smoothing treatment/weekly resurfacing treatment – kiehl’s midnight recovery concentrate – super antioxidant concentrate – clear skin hydrator.

Thank u v much Shirleen! Do u think my night regime might be a bit too much? Should I perhaps alternate the sk II FTE and Kiehls MRC?

Really appreciate ur taking time to answering all these qns!

Got something to say? Go for it!
