Recently, I have attended an event at Shiseido office to preview latest ZA Rich-Glam Liquid Rouge range that comes in 8 irresistible shades with Asian flattering pink undertones.
A survey done by Shiseido research centre shows that more women are seeking for pigmented lip colors, and yet most of them do not want to sacrifice the moisturizing factor of it.
ZA Rich-Glam Liquid Rouge, a cross between a gloss and a lipstick, provides rich pigmented colors with ultra-moisturizing formulation that keeps chapped lips at bay.
Last December, I was exclusively invited to preview Laneige’s new Cleansing Oils and Spring 2014 Makeup Collection that comprises of New Pure Radiant Shadow, Pure Radiant Blush and Serum Intense Lipstick. They will be permanently available at all Laneige stores from January 2014 onwards.
There are 7 highly-pigmented Pure Radiant Shadow palettes, 6 Pure Radiant Blush colors and 20 vivid Serum Intense Lipstick colors.
A few months ago, I have received a parcel from FANCL Singapore and it contains the Moisturizing Line products that include two Essences, two Emulsions, two Lotions, a Cream, a box of Mask and two supplements. Oops! Here’s another overdue post again. <grinning>
When it comes to skin care, keeping my skin well-hydrated is ultimately important. It may slow down the skin aging actually. When my skin is well-hydrated, it is more plump and resilient. Fine lines and wrinkles are less visible and my skin’s protective barrier function is healthy and strong. In fact, when my skin is dehydrated, it will tend to appear dull, uneven, dry, flaky, and even saggy. In fact, my skin turns oily when it is dehydrated too.
Despite the warm and humid climate we live in, my skin can get excessively dry due to air conditioning systems at work or even at home. Therefore, it is more than necessary to keep my skin moisturized and radiant.
FANCL, one of the leading skincare brands in Japan, introduced Moisturizing Line that helps awaken skin’s natural power to retain moisture without the use of preservatives. It contains beauty ingredients that support skin’s natural moisturizing function to fight against skin dullness, roughness and dryness.
Do you know preservatives can weaken skin’s barrier function? FANCL’s Mutenka only gives the skin what is truly needs and nothing else. And therefore all FANCL product contain no preservatives and potentially harmful additives, allowing only powerful beauty agents to actively enhance our skin’s natural beauty.
Moisturizing Line uses Purification Process, done through the power of Malvidin (extracted from Mallow and Blue Sweet Pea) to reactivate skin cells and ensure optimal moisturizing results. Malvidin helps to purify skin by removing skin damaging factors, revitalizing skin cells and restoring damaged cells.
With “Advanced Penetrating Nano Capsule Technology”, active beautifying ingredients (Raffinose and Fresh Royal Jelly Essence) are absorbed easily deep within skin layers, giving our skin the ability to remain supple and nourished.
STEP 1 – Moisturizing Lotion (I and II), retailing at S$34 for 30ml, is the first step that instantly moisturizes skin and improves moisture retention. It prepares the skin for the next skincare step for better penetrations. Available in 2 variations, Moisturizing Lotion I is for oily skin whilst Moisturizing Lotion II is for combination, normal and dry skin.
I noticed the skin around my eyes is one of the first places to show signs of aging. The skin in this area is said to be 40% thinner than anywhere else on my face, causing it to age faster. As I age, fine lines around the eye area become more apparent. The upper eyelids become droopy, puffy and heavier, and that make me appear tired. What I hate most is the crepey texture of my eyelids that make it hard for me to apply eyeshadow.
Before, eye lift surgery was seem to be the only solution to reverse the aging around the eyes however there are potential side effects and risks involved with any surgical procedure. I’m not ready to go under the knife at this moment for sure. Fortunately, there’s a proven non-invasive procedure that can help to reverse the aging around my eyes – it is the Thermage® Eye Procedure.
The Thermage® Eye Procedure is the only procedure that helps smooth and tighten skin and decrease wrinkles and hooding the eye area without surgery or injections, and little to no downtime. I’m pleased to learn that Thermage has the industry’s first and only FDA clearance for non-invasive eyelid treatments.
Three months ago, I have FINALLY gone for the Thermage Eye Procedure at SL Clinic, performed by Dr Kelvin Chua. Yes FINALLY! I have always wanted to go for this treatment for the longest time! WooHoo! <grinning>
This picture was taken before the procedure, with missing double eyelids.
A week ago, I’ve mentioned about my weak skin’s barrier that causes skin sensitivity and irritation, and I have briefly introduced a new skincare product which is exclusively designed to help strengthen skin’s barrier, calm irritation and intensify deep moisture for a stronger more resistant skin foundation.
This new treatment essence is Estee Lauder Micro Essence Skin Activating Treatment Lotion.
I must confess my impaired skin’s barrier function is mainly caused by the frequent use of harsh products (like high concentration of alpha hydroxy acids) over a long period of time. I was so wrong thinking a daily use of AHA product may help to exfoliate my dead skin cells for a flawless, youthful skin. I didn’t realize I was causing more damages to my skin by over exfoliating it. Over-exfoliation has triggered my inflammatory response and led to a compromised lipid barrier with sensitized skin condition. And that results an increase of hyperpigmentation too. Well, what’s done cannot be undone.
In 2013, Yves Saint Laurent Beaute Singapore has launched a new series to its popular Forever Youth Liberator skincare range, exclusively designed to help correct the appearance of uneven skin tone by acting on dark spots, uniformity, clarity and radiance. Recently, I was invited to the launch event of Repetto’s first-ever fragrance that was held at VivoCity.
A group of ballet dancers waiting to be performed.
I’m not familiar with ballet and it was fun getting a glimpse into a world of ballet during the event. Elegance is the first thing that comes into my mind when I see ballet. The graceful dancing, the lovely ballet tu tu, the ballerina shoes (that are tied with satin ribbon around the ankle) and the ballerina bun.
Repetto, the icon of French heritage for ballerina shoes, has now created a fragrance of their very own, an elegant aura, like a ballerina performing an arabesque driven by a subtle signature providing self-confidence and lifting the body into the air like a Carlotta ballerina.
Repetto was founded by Rose Repetto in 1947 when she decided to design a pair of shoes for her son, the dancer and choreographer Roland Petit. Using the famous ‘stitch and return’ process, the hand-sewn shoes were soon loved by all the dancers at the opera house. The brand now represents French style around the world and remains loyal to its ballet heritage with beautiful stores.
Miss Dorothée Gilbert, Principal Dancer of the Opéra National de Paris, has been the Repetto ambassador since January 2012. This key visual was photographed by James Bort in the privacy of her dressing room, the Danseuse Etoile prepares to go on stage.
Repetto Fragrance has a musky powdered rose scent that opens with the pear and cherry blossom accords. Middle note of rose fusing with orange blossom. Base note of vanilla pod and the warmth of the amber wood.
Recently, I was introduced to a non-invasive treatment named TriLipo MED that is designed to provide wrinkle reduction, cellulite improvement and skin tightening.
TriLipo MED is a safe and completely non-surgical procedure and it is effective for :
