Join WomenLoveBeauty In Welcoming 2012! Happy New Year Everyone!

A big thank you to all my lovely loyal readers and friends of staying with me (WomenLoveBeauty) all these while. Without you I wouldn’t be here today and thank you so much for your continuous support. And a big welcome to those who are new here too!

In 2011, I realized I have been focusing a lot on whitening products. Some are complimentary products while others are bought for my own use. There are still couples of whitening products I’ve yet to try out, sitting in the drawer unopened. I feel like a guinea pig at times hee hee….. So in 2012, I hope to post some reviews on the whitening products I’ve tested so far.

In 2012, I will likely be focusing on skin firming or loss of elasticity and skin regeneration. I’m looking forward to try out new products that are formulated with DNA or stem cells technology. These products are claimed to reverse the effects of aging and regenerate aging tissues.

Unlike whitening products that are very popular in Japan or Korea, these cell regeneration products are very popular in the European market instead.

And now, let’s say goodbye to 2011 and welcome 2012! Wishing you all my lovely readers a wonderful year ahead and stay pretty always! ;-)

Clarins White Plus HP Sea Lily Enriched 2 New Additions – Whitening Velvet Emulsion & Whitening Velvet Emulsion SPF 20

In January 2011, Clarins has launched 3 amazing White Plus HP Sea Lily Enriched products and now a year later in January 2012, Clarins is once again proud to extend 2 new additions to its White Plus HP Sea Lily Enriched range.

Introducing the new Whitening Velvet Emulsion and Whitening Velvet Emulsion SPF 20.

Two weeks ago, I was one of the first few to preview these 2 newest White Plus HP Sea Lily Enriched Emulsions at Clarins Skin Spa @ Wheelock. These 2 latest additions will be launched at all Clarins counters in January 2012.

The 3 recent products that were launched early this year are Whitening Repairing Night Cream, Brightening Exfoliator and Brightening Peel. Click here to read my previous post on the introduction on these 3 whitening products and click here to read the reviews on these 3 products.

Whitening Velvet Emulsion – S$92

Whitening Velvet Emulsion SPF 20 – S$100

Both in 75ml

These 2 newest whitening emulsions, one with SPF and one without, are formulated for individual needs. Enriched with active potent ingredients such as Sea Lily Extract and Alchemilla Extract, both emulsions provide high protection against hyper-pigmentation and ensure even brighter, more beautiful and comfortable skin.

Whitening Velvet Emulsion with SPF 20, specially formulated for day use, is enriched with meadowsweet extract that protects against shine due to the heat, facilitates makeup application and prolongs its hold. UV filters and white tea extract helps protect the skin against harmful environment factors and the sun exposure that is a major cause of skin aging. As it is a moisturizer with sunscreen, you may actually skip applying a sunscreen and hence your skin will feel less greasy.

Japan Trip Diary (Part 6) – Interesting Beauty Products I’ve Found In Sapporo Japan

Hooray! I finally able to complete this finale diary post on my not-so-recent Japan trip in April this year! Extremely delighted!

However since the trip was more than 8 months ago and due to my poor memory hee hee… (age is catching up on me hiaz), I actually couldn’t remember everything.

My bad for sitting on this post for so long….<grin> But not to worry, I will try my best to recollect and share with you (as much as possible) on what are the interesting beauty products I’ve found in Sapporo Japan!

As mentioned before on my earlier diary posts, shopping for cosmetic products in Japan is really a joy! Seriously, the selection are super humongous! How can we get enough of them? The picture above only shows a small section of a beauty drugstore in Sapporo.

This beauty drugstore near Sapporo train station is very creative! For example the picture above : the top tier is displayed with a row of lipsticks in a sealed glass panel, respective testers on the second tier and a stack of purchase tags in the pigeon holes on the lower tier. Love the purchase tag idea! See more examples below.

The product number is actually printed on the side of the purchase tag. As all purchase tags are code generated, consumers can just simply pay and collect the items at the counters.

These cleverly designed product displays will definitely save huge retail spaces. The compact purchase tags will definitely make the shoppers happy as they do not have to carry their wanted items around.

Are you tempted by all the lovely colors?

You see, the purchase tags are stacked in tiny pigeon holes. What a clever way to save space.

Magical sparkling color powders for nails.

Tiny flowers in the polishes, aren’t they lovely? Can’t remember the price though.

I took a picture of this Maybelline cosmetic stand cos I was admiring the design and how the products are beautifully displayed in such a compact space. Sadly, the stands of the same brand found locally are not that well designed.

Lovely black and white 2-way-cake diamond cases from Coffret D’or by Kanebo. Unfortunately, Coffret D’or will be pulled from all Kanebo counters in Singapore end this year.

I was looking for a good loose powder and this brand caught my attention. This makeup brand EXCEL seems convincing and I was tempted to buy one after seeing the 3 big characters “第一位” (means #1) with a big crown on the top panel.

NEW Origins Plantscription Anti-Aging Eye Treatment

Most of us will probably notice our FIRST signs of aging on the eye area and it is mainly due to 3 key factors. The skin around the eyes is actually up to 3 times thinner than our facial skin and it also produces no sebum to keep it moisture. It is therefore dryer, fragile and sensitive. Our eyes express nearly every emotion and are in constant emotion as they follow the movements of the underlying muscles. As we age, skin around the eyes loses resiliency and collagen, and therefore deeper, more ‘permanent’ lines and wrinkles will form.

So have you noticed any signs of eye aging lately? Are you giving special attention to the eye area? You should if you are not! Well, early prevention is better than cure. The most common signs of eye aging are : crow’s feet, crepey skin on the eyelid, under eye fine lines and wrinkles, sagging skin around the eyes, dark eye circles and puffy eyes.

A few weeks ago, I was delighted to be presented a newly launched eye product from Origins, NEW Plantscription Anti-Aging Eye Treatment, for testing and review. It is the latest addition to Plantscription series after the successful launch of their latest breakthrough Plantscription Anti Aging Serum. This new innovative serum claims to have 88% of wrinkle-reducing power of a prescription and as potent as retinoids (a proven wrinkle fighter) with 0% irritation, dryness and photosensitivity.

Glamabox By Lisa S

Early this week, I’ve received a complimentary beauty box by Glamabox.

Glamabox, first launched in Hong Kong and is founded by renowned-model and host Lisa S, wife of Daniel Wu. It has recently been expanded the beauty subscription service offer to Singapore. With a monthly subscription of S$18, Singapore ladies may now receive a Glamabox per month, which is claimed to contain 5 Beauty products and services from luxurious and reputable brands, all personally-selected by Lisa S. to be delivered monthly to their doorsteps.

Although, I have never been interested in this kind of subscription service offer and since it was an offer to me for review, I agreed hesitantly.

Upon receiving the box, my first impression was why so light? And after opening the box, I was not suprised to find out that the box is sparsely filled.

It contains 5 beauty products which are Neogence Hyaluronic Hydrating Eye Cream in 15ml (made in Taiwan), Agatha Ruiz de la Prada Lip Balm in 15ml (made in Spain), a piece of VOV Wash Off Pack Green Tea Collagen Mask (made in Korea), Cyber Colors Hand Cream in 30ml (made in Korea) and Perfective Ceuticals Anti-imperfection Eye Therapy Cream in 4ml (country unknown). And a skin hydrating treatment gift certificate from Touche Elite.

The Perfective Ceuticals Anti-imperfection Eye Therapy Cream in 4ml looks more like a sample/trial piece than an actual product.

Other than Touche Elite, I’ve never heard of any of the beauty brands before so luxurious and reputable brands as they claimed may not seem appropriate in Singapore. I will never want to risk of getting irritation by applying something unknown on my face though. Therefore, it is very likely I will skip all products except the hand cream and maybe lip balm. And I believe these brands are not even available in Singapore, am I right?

I probably will give it a miss on this service but otherwise if you are keen, you may visit their website for more details.
