What Are My Favorite Beauty Products?

Hi hi hi to my lovely readers, yes I finally ready to share with you my current favorite beauty products. My bad for taking so long to publish it. Though these products are my favorites but it doesn’t mean they are the best. It is based on my own experiences with the products.

Being a beauty blogger, I get to test many beauty products and I’m glad to uncover some great products along the way. I will continue to add new favorites to the list if I ever find any.

Do note that my preferences may change from time to time and I may amend the list if necessary. My current favorite beauty products are :

Japan’s SENKA Skincare & MA CHERIE Bloggers Event

Recently, I was invited by Shiseido Singapore to preview their two newest brands – SENKA Skincare and MA CHERIE. Both Shiseido’s massbrands will be available at selected Watsons stores.

Shiseido’s Tsubaki Head Spa Line

Shiseido’s Tsubaki has recently launched their new hair line that is specially targeted to rebuild a healthy hair root. Beautiful hair actually begin from the root.

Research has shown that apart from a high demand of products for shiny hair and damaged hair, there was an increase in desire to achieve “beautiful hair from the roots”. That is why more and more people prefer to head down to hair salons for a complete hair scalp treatment as scalp care is the core for beautiful hair.

To keep pace with the trend, Shiseido has release the new Head Spa line that cultivates beautiful, shiny hair from the scalp through a combination of natural essential oils and responds to increasing scalp care needs.

Introducing The NEW Za True White Plus Liquid Foundation & Deep Cleansing Oil In Large Size

2 weeks ago, I was invited to the Za press event to preview their newest whitening liquid foundation – Za True White Plus Liquid Foundation.

The private media event at Selfish Gene Caf©, attended by people from media and Watsons, was held during the day hence I was the only beauty blogger at the event. As the cafe is very near to my office, I took a late lunch to attend the event. A separate preview event will be arranged for the bloggers who couldn’t turn up.

Celebrity Makeup Artist Larry Yeo was being invited to give a presentation on the new product and perform a product makeup demonstration on a model.

Based on the research conducted by Za HQ, it has shown that Asian women in their 20s use foundation to cover up skin imperfections such as dark spots, pores, patchiness, uneven skin tones and also to achieve a brighter skin tone. Survey has also been done and concluded that most Asian women prefer to use liquid foundation and yearn to have whitening benefits in the foundation.

Since the launch of Za in 1997, the brand has won numerous awards with their various best-selling foundations and base including Za Skin Beauty 2-Way Foundation, Za True White Plus 2-Way Foundation and Za Concealer Perfection.

Review – Shiseido Future Solution LX Eye & Lip Contour Regenerating Cream

Paula Begoun, the famous cosmetics cop from US, believes that we do not need an eye cream! She claims that there is no evidence to prove product formulations for eye creams don’t differ from those for face products. Frankly, I actually believe in her at first!

Out of curiosity, I did a test and I completely stopped applying an eye cream and instead using my usual day or night moisturizer to hydrate my eye areas for a period of time. The method doesn’t really work for me as I began to encounter minor irritation on my delicate eye areas. My eyes began to get teary and stinging at times. After the test trial, I have to disagree with her and I feel that an eye cream is ultimately essential.

As the skin around the eye areas is delicate and fragile due to the fact that it is much thinner than the rest on the face and in addition there’s no oil glands to keep it moist. Therefore wrinkles and fine lines will easily develop around the eye areas.

Many many months ago, I was given a chance to test the Future Solution LX Eye & Lip Contour Regenerating Cream from Shiseido. Yes yes yes my bad for taking years to review it. It’s better late than never. <grin>

Beauty Scene Investigation – Unveil The Massbrands Products Winners

Two weeks ago, I’ve attended an interesting and creative event named “Beauty Scene Investigation” by a well-known global company from Japan that owns several prestige and massbrands cosmetics brands in Singapore. The mission of the day was to identify who are the ultimate “beauty products” suvivors for a murder case.

Wanna make a guess on the name of the major cosmetics company I’m referring to? Well, the answer is SHISEIDO.

Do continue reading to search for clues at the crime scene, to uncover the identities of the true-blue survivors and most importantly to find out on why or how these survivors managed to escape from being KILLED!! Hahahahaha…………are you ready gals, lets go!

Before proceeding to the crime scene, we were briefly brief on the murder case with the help from this investigation board.

So here we were at the murder scene with police tapes all over the place.

Everyone was looking for clues at the murder scene.

There are 6 types of crime scenes and each crime scene is targeted to different range of products. A doll was killed at crime scene 1 @ “Hair Care Street”. Crime scene 2 is the “Facial Cleanser Ave” and the crime scene 3 is the “Base Boulevard” where you can find a chopped off finger on a compact foundation.

The other 3 crime scenes are the “Eyeliner Close” @ crime scene 4, “Mascara Lane” @ crime scene 5 and the “Eyeshadow Road” @ crime scene 6.

In the end, these unfortunate victims (beauty products) couldn’t survive and have eventually been killed due to bad quality, poor ingredients and out-dated formulation. So who has actually escaped from the evil clutches of the serial killer and win the competition?

Well let me unveil the mystery and disclose the identities of the 9 ultimate survivors! These survivors are proud to be the winners at the Watsons HWB (Health Wellness & Beauty) Awards ’11. They have been awarded for their quality and innovation, and are a reflection of the popular taste and consumers’ changing preferences and lifestyle.

2010 passes in a blink of an eye, don’t you agree?

Well, 2010 has been a rewarding year for me. It was a eventful year too, with plentiful of irresistible opportunities offering to me and I was glad to be able to preview bountiful of new launched products too.
