L’oreal REVITALIFT Range now with New Formula

Oops! Here’s another super backlog post again! My bad!

Many months back, I’ve presented this L’oreal Revitalift set, comprises of Intensive Repairing Essence, Anti-Wrinkle + Firming Night Cream and Anti-Wrinkle + Firming Eye Cream, to my mom. She’s now in her early 70′s. It has a bilingual packaging, English on one side and Chinese on another side.

Revitalift was launched in early 2014 with a new formula and new packaging. This new updated anti-wrinkle range, claimed to be world’s #1, is said to help repair, regenerate and fight the signs of aging from within. As we gradually age, our aging skin gets harder and harder to repair.

Inspired by the self-healing process, L’Oréal laboratories selected Centella Asiatica, renowned for its repairing properties, for a new anti-aging care.

In India, Centella Asiatica has the nickname of Tiger Grass because wounded tigers are known to roll themselves on the herb to treat their wounds. It is said to have an extraordinary repairing properties, to repair and regenerate skin from the inside.

Revitalift is also formulated with Dermalift Technology (restructure skin’s fiber network) and Pro-Retinol A (known for promoting cell renewal to thicken epidermis to reduce wrinkles).

The range consist of 6 products:

I’m the winner for the “What’s Youth To You” Contest!

During the event, each blogger was required to submit a short entry on “What’s Youth To You?”.

Yeah!!!!!! I’m the only winner and I have won myself a S$50 ZARA voucher! I was actually quite shocked when my winning entry was read out! WooHoo!! Stella from L’oreal Paris presented the prize to me. <grinnnnnnnnnnnnnn>

Here’s my winning entry………in fact I was just expressing my own true life experience.

I have gone through a lot of obstacles and failures, high and low life for the past 20 years…………..I feel that at age 42, it is a hindrance to me because I do not have so many years (unlike my younger peers) to take the risk and redo everything again.

Here’s my prize! Probably I will keep it for Christmas shopping………..hee hee……….

Review – L’oreal Revitalift Anti-Wrinkle + Firming Cream SPF 18

L’oreal Revitalift Anti-Wrinkle + Firming Cream SPF 18 is the first L’oreal product I have tested. Quite ordinary, I would say. There isn’t much benefits to support the ‘anti-wrinkle’ + firming’ claims.

Ingredients

L’oreal Revitalift Anti-Wrinkle + Firming Cream SPF 18 contains a few skin-irritant ingredients like fragrance and linalool that may irritate skin. It also contains palmitic acid, a detergent cleansing agent that also creates foam and can be drying.

To support its SPF 18, it contains ingredient like titanium dioxide, as it is said to protect skin from UVA and UVB radiation and is considered to have no risk of skin irritation.

The key ingredient retinyl palmitate, a form of vitamin A, is a combination of retinol and palmitic acid. Research has shown that it can be effective as an antioxidant and skin-cell regulator. But I guess, this is the only ingredient in the product, that may help to firm up and prevent wrinkles, that is beneficial to the skin. But don’t expect the skin will improve much as the ingredient percentage may not be sufficient to see the result.

Texture

Very lightweight, non-oily. After application, my skin doesn’t feel oily even after few hours later.

Results

No visible improvement on wrinkle and firming.

Will I buy it again? …… Never!
