Early last month, Watsons has hosted its biggest beauty bash Watsons Girls Day Out, bringing forth the latest health and beauty brands, be it cosmetics, hair, skincare, inner beauty supplements, health, as well as a few surprise brands to pamper oneself from head to toe. The beauty bash also showcased Watsons’ own brands – Watsons Hair Pro, Pure Beauty and all new skincare line – Divinia.

Watsons presents a lively carnival of exciting activities and informative beauty tips and advice from the experts themselves. In addition, Watsons has launched its Watsons eStore, the brand’s online portal, in conjunction with Watsons 27th birthday.

I got to preview more than 20 over range of products during the event. Featuring some of the previewed products below :

bioderma cleansing milk

Bioderma has introduced a new addition to its exclusive cleansing range – Sensibio Lait Cleansing Milk – exclusively available at Watsons, . Bioderma has an ultra-light texture that provides gentle cleansing and removal of makeup from face to eyes. Formulated with Toleridine® patent, it is claimed to increase skin tolerance and reduce skin sensitivity. Priced at S$26.90 for 250ml.

Vichy introduced a new whitening skincare range named Ideal White, specially created for Asian women. Ideal White’s new Metabolic Whitening complex is said to enhance the skin’s whitening balance and boosts skin’s metabolism for spotless, healthy glowing skin. The range consists of a Deep Cleansing Foam S$39, Cosmetic Water S$39, Essence S$65, Gel Cream S$69, oil-free Daily Ultra-Block in SPF 40 and SPF 50 S$49. This range is available at Derma Center, selected Watsons, Guardian and Unity.

The Hada Labo Lotion is one of my favorite skincare products. It now comes with an advanced new generation of four interlocked Hyaluronic Acids that unlock the secret to ocean-deep hydration for the skin. It retails at S$22.90.

Pure Beauty, Watsons’ own exclusive brand, launched a new anti-aging range named Pure Beauty Youth Restore Lift & Nourish that is said to reduce wrinkles by 37% in four weeks. The range utilizes a Multi-Functional Anti-Ageing System that uses Liftonin™ to lift and firm skin. Also contains red ginseng peptide, vitamin-rich Noni fruit extract, blue lotus extract and Bulgarian Rose Water. The range comprises of Firming Essence S$35.90, Firming Eye Cream S$29.90, Moisture Day Cream SPF 20 S$30.90 and Repair Night Cream S$30.90.

L’oreal’s new Revitalift Magic Blur is claimed to blur the look of pores, lines and imperfections, thanks to its silicone-based texture. Don’t really like the idea of using skincare product that uses silicone to temporarily conceal pores and lines. Priced at S$41.90 for 50ml.

Daylong, a sunscreen brand under Cetaphil, provides a range of sunscreens to suit different skin types including kid’s sensitive skin too.

Cetaphil has recently launched its new Gentle Skin Cleansing Cloths that is infused with the Gentle Skin Cleanser, suitable for all skin types even the most sensitive skin. The travel-friendly pack, retailing at S$13.90 per pack, comes complete with ultra-soft, non-comedogenic, fragrance and pH balanced cloths.

L’oreal Paris Hair Expertise’s first oil-infused, replenished system – OleoTherapy – is designed for dry and damaged hair. The sulfate-free system is made out of a heavenly blend of 6 flower oils – argan oil, chamomile oil, gardenia oil, lotus oil, rose oil and flaxseed oil. The range consists of shampoo S$15.90, conditioner S$15.90, hair recovery mask S$19.90 and self-heating hot oil S$25.90.

Divinia, a new Watsons own brand made in Taiwan, is specially formulated for female Asian skin from 15 to 35 years old. This Triple Hydration range aims to provide maximum hydration for your skin in three different tiers – Restore, Repair and Lock. The range consists of Triple Hydration Lotion S$17.90, Triple Hydration Essence S$17.90, Triple Hydration 5-in-1 Repairing Cream S$21.90, Triple Hydration Sleeping Mask S$21.90 and Triple Hydration Cream Gel S$19.90.

Frankly, I’m not in favor of this local brand – Bio-Essence. The above 24K Gold Bio-Gold series, priced from S$10.90 to S$45, is claimed to contain real 24K gold to tackle aging concerns.

Kustie, shower gel brand from France, available in 4 scents – Lavender, Cherry Blossom, Chamomile and Rose. Retailing at S$19.90 each.

Asience has recently introduced 2 new ranges – Asience Inner Rich (for dry, frizzy and unmanageable hair) and Asience Natural Smooth (for oily scalp and tangled ends). Prices begin from S$7.95.

Kinohimitsu offers a range of nutraceutical products for all detox, health and beauty needs. The brand utilizes the energy and healing properties of plants in their products to provide thorough, quick and effective remedies to boost the quality of the human body. Check out the new BB Drink (the left pink bottle on the above image) from Kinochimitsu! Kinochimitsu BB Drink is a functional instant drink that helps restore skin’s natural glow and clarity – not only on the face but the entire body. It works for dehydrated, oily and acne skin. The value pack retails at S$39.90 for a pack of six, with four complimentary bottles.

Can you guess what are these? Well, these products are happiness gadgets that promote healthy sex as a natural part of beauty care – helping women confident, sexy and happy, with or without a partner. Created by Smile Makers, these gadgets are completely phthalate-free, made with super-smooth, 100% body-safe, FDA-approved silicone. Currently, there are 4 available shapes. Energeyes Digital Lenses are designed to employ a proprietary technology that is able to reduce harmful light by up to 50% and eliminate glares from digital screens. The main cause of digital eye strain is due to the prolonged exposure to harmful blue light which is emitted from the screens of our digital devices. Retails at S$67.90. Pleased to receive a pair of lenses in the goodie bag.

Eucerin introduces the latest Volume-Filler range including Day Cream S$75, Eye Cream S$69 and Night Cream S$75.


The Honeyce Moisture Repair Series and the Honeyce Juicy Spa Series both feature a shampoo, treatment, hair mask and has milk/hair mist. Each unique product retails S$19.90.
