After a successful Beauty Day Out media event in 2012, Watsons has recently held another Beauty Day Out – Spring Colour Report 2013 – in February 2013 to showcase a wide selection of the latest beauty products that have recently been launched and most are exclusively available at Watsons Singapore.
Products range from cosmetics, hair, skincare and inner beauty oral supplements. New exclusive brands were also been introduced such as Elite Models Makeup, Eyemasing and Rock Beauty. And some of the Watsons’ exclusive brands that were also been featured in Spring Report 2013 include Candy Doll, Heroine Make, Aqualabel, Senka, Dr. Wu Clinical Skincare, GLOW™ and Brand’s@ InnerShine@.
I’m not too sure if you are aware of this – Watsons, Asia’s largest health and beauty retailer, has been the No. 1 pharmacy/drugstore brand in Asia for 4 consecutive years from 2009 to 2012. Watsons Singapore has now more than 100 stores located islandwide, with more than 30 pharmacies located in its key stores.
I was glad to being invited to this Beauty Day Out – Spring Colour Report 2013 media event in February 2013 that was held at 7 Adam Park.
Alike last event, the invited guests were divided into groups (about 5 – 7 guests) and were guided with a representative to tour around the ‘counters’ at the big event hall at level two.
Upon proceeding to the second level, our first stop was the Heroine Make counter. Heroine Make, one of the first Japanese cosmetics brands founded in 1825, is renowned for its long-lasting eye makeup such as their top-selling Long & Curl Mascara (S$21.90). Offering 1.5 times longer fibres for 120% greater strengthening effects, Long & Curl Mascara was voted the No. 1 Mascara in Japan’s Best Cosme Awards in 2009 and 2010, and has sold over five million of it since 2005.
Heroine Make other mascaras include : Volume & Curl Mascara (S$21.90) that offers 130% more volume than before and Impact Frame & Curl Mascara (S$23.90) to increase lash volume by 180%.
Heroine Make’s first BB Mineral Loose powder contains lasting mineral powder to control shine all-day for a natural yet translucent coverage. Available in shade No.1 and No.2.
Our next stop was the Elite models makeup corner. Founded in Paris in 1972, Elite is the number one modeling agency in the world and home to some of the world’s most renowned fashion models. Inspired by runway fashion, Elite models cosmetics were developed to bring the latest makeup trends and aims to provide fashionable, innovative and affordable makeup to look “supermodel in your own way”.
The Elite models makeup range, prices range from S$7.90 to S$26.90, is exclusively available at selected Watsons stores.
Check out their star product – Fantastic Primer (S$24.90) – a water-based, non-greasy translucent gel makeup base that keeps skin matte and helps the foundation to stay on.
The third stop was the Rock Beauty corner. Launched in August 2010, Rock Beauty products allow customers to flaunt their favorite runway looks in an instant – with easy-to-use stick-on cosmetics and other embellishments for the nails, eyes, body and lips.
Rock Beauty has collaborations with designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Meadham Kirchhoff and Mulberry.

Nail Rock nail wrap range requires only a maximum of 15 minutes to apply, without any drying time. Each pack contains 16 nail wraps in different sizes for fingers and toes, and is available at S$9.90 (standard stickers) and S$14.90 (3D stickers) at selected Watsons stores.

Toni & Guy, the largest independent salons chain worldwide and one of the most powerful hairdressing brands in the world, has recently launched Hair Meet Wardrobe line with 21 new products. A creative stylist from Toni & Guy demonstrated four different styles on four models using four different range of products.
Pretty keen on the product above. Toni & Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray, retailing at S$24.90, is designed to create texture and body with light hold. Spray evenly from root to tip, on towel dried or dry hair and work through to create tousled waves with natural movement.
This Glamour range is designed to create the ultimate in hold, powerful body and sleek styles. Great to create voluminous hairstyle. All Glamour products (light brown packaging) are retailing at S$22.90 and PREP products (white packaging) are retailing at S$21.90.
Followed next is the Shiseido corner where we can find Senka and Aqualabel.
Developed by Shiseido, SENKA is a skincare brand that is free of fragrance and artificial colors. SENKA Perfect cleanser range (above), retailing from S$12.90 to S$22.90, is gentle to the skin and effectively removes makeup and impurities.
SENKA Whitening Lotion, formulated with Vitamin C, helps to slow down melanin production and prevent pigmentation. Retailing at S$18.90, it comes in MOIST for normal to dry skin and FRESH for normal to oily skin.
Aqualabel by Shiseido, has finally launched its Anti-Aging Line in Singapore. Formulated with the brand’s patented Aqua Ex Base technology that seeks to hydrate every corner of your skin, the range also contains M-Tranexamic Acid which alleviates chronic inflammations to prevent dark spots and freckles, as well as star ingredient Fermented Royal Jelly that activates skin cells for a youthful vitality. The range comprises of 3 products – Aqualabel Wash Ex (S$17.90), Aqualabel Lotion Ex (S$26.90) and Aqualabel Royal Rich Essence (S$35.50).
BRAND’S InnerShine is a new category under the BRAND’S umbrella which promotes beauty from within through new range of oral beauty supplements. The range contains 100% fruit essences including InnerShine Berry Essence with Grape Seed Extract (above) and …
