A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to try out two of the new L’OCCITANE premium skincare products – Divine Lotion and Divine Cream.
The Divine Cream, a new formula, has been voted the best anti-aging cream or beauty buy in various local and overseas magazines. The Divine Lotion is the latest addition to its Divine series that comprises of Divine Extract (a serum), Divine Cream and Divine Eyes.
I really adore L’OCCITANE body products and especially love its Lavender Relaxing Foot Cream very much! I’ve never tried L’OCCITANE skincare products before and I’m pleased to be given an opportunity to try their skincare range for the first time.
The new formulated L’OCCITANE Divine Cream, with 5 patents pending, is enriched with a new complex of 7 naturally derived active ingredients that is said to boost the properties of immortelle plant extracts and act at the heart of cells to correct the signs of aging. Immortelle, an active ingredient also known as golden sun, is a legendary flower of Corsica that never fades, even once picked. An organic cultivation programme was set up for Immortelle in Corsica and over 3 billion Immortelle flowers are harvested every year for L’OCCITANE. L’OCCITANE has already revealed and patented the exceptional aging-aging properties of organic Immortelle from Corsica – the only variety in the world that contains the effective high concentration of neryl acetate.
Divine Lotion, the latest addition to its Divine range, has a silky fluid texture that has a light natural botanical scent. I like applying the lotion using a cotton pad as it can help to remove the excess dirt and makeup residue that my cleanser has missed. By doing this, it can also gently help to exfoliate the dead skin surface. My skin appears clean and clear upon application.
I remember my skin actually felt an ultra mild burning sensation upon the first application. Fortunately, it only lasted about a few seconds and only on the first application. I’m pleased to learn that the Divine Lotion doesn’t contain any harmful alcohol properties that may cause free radicals damage. It is also free of BHA, BHT, EDTA, mineral oil, colorants and parabens.
The Divine Cream has a light creamy texture that glides and absorbs into my skin easily. The light non-greasy texture is suitable to be used in the day too. I actually like its silky creamy consistency very much that makes it easier for me to do the DIY face-lifting massage every night. And I only need to apply very little of the cream on each use. A little goes a long way.
It also has the same natural botanical scent. This anti-aging cream contains a complex of 7 naturally derived active ingredients like Marsh Clover, Myrtle, Honey, Bellis Perennis, Hyaluronic Acid, Evening Primrose Oil and Camelina Oil. It is also free of BHA, BHT, EDTA, mineral oil, colorants and parabens.
I’ve used both Divine products for about a week now and thanks to the hydrating ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, Evening Primrose Oil and Camelina Oil in the cream, my skin actually feels soft, moisture and really smooth, though I haven’t noticed any dramatic results yet. I’m pleased that both Divine Cream and Lotion are suitable for my sensitive skin.
