My 3 Picks For Lancôme Make-up Brushes

Make-up brushes are the most powerful asset of professional makeup artists. Although most makeup products do come with miniature brushes or applicators however I realize investing in and using the right make-up brushes do make a massive difference to the make-up application. The brushes actually help me to achieve a flawless and perfect make-up look.

Recently, I was given an opportunity to pick any make-up brushes of my choice. Many thanks to Lancome Singapore. I’ve picked 3 brushes and they are :

Lancome brushes

(From right) Foundation Brush #2, Blending Tip Brush #16 and Dual-End Liner & Smudger Brush #24.

Foundation Brush #2 – S$55
Synthetic Bristled Brush for Liquid Foundation

lancome foundation brush #2

This easy-to-clean, synthetic bristled brush is the perfect partner to all liquid foundations. The tapered edge blends liquid makeup for a natural, even look. Brush hairs are softer, and have a more graduated tip for even, controlled blending.

How to use:
Apply a small amount of liquid foundation onto the back of your hand. Using the flat side of the brush, apply to areas that need coverage, beginning in the area between the nose and cheek. Turn the brush over and, without adding any additional product, finish blending with downward strokes. Repeat the process on the rest of the face.

Backstage Beauty Tip:
Use one side to apply the foundation and keep the other side “clean” of product to blend. If you can’t see the grey
bristles, you have too much foundation on your brush!

Blending Tip Brush #16 – S$35
Precision Point Natural-Bristled Brush for Eye Shadow

lancome blending tip shadow brush #16

This brush is the ideal partner to all eye shadows. Designed with fine and densely packed fibers, this brush shades color and softens liner application around the lash line. Bristles are slightly more tapered for controlled detailing and blending.

How to use:
Use the tip of the brush to softly diffuse liner at the base of the lash line for a soft, smoky effect. For highlighting, use the tip of the brush with shimmer shadow on the inner corner, ball of the eye, or under the brow.

Backstage Beauty Tip:
Use to intensify eye shadow, specifically in the outer corner of the eye. Great for contouring hooded or smaller eyes.

Dual-End Liner & Smudger – Brush #24 – S$35

lancome dual-end liner & smudger brush #24

This versatile dual-ended brush is the ideal partner to all eye shadows and NEW Liner Design Long Wear Calligraphy Gel EyeLiner. Designed with two sides for portability and convenience: the sleek tip applies shadow and gel eyeliner precisely and evenly to the perimeter of the eye, while the tapered, flat rounded side perfectly smudges shadow or gel eyeliner for a smoky, softly lined look.

How to use:
Dip the sleek tip side of the brush into shadow or gel eyeliner like. Line the perimeter of the eye. Finish by softening or smudging liner with opposite brush end for desired eye look.

Backstage Beauty Tip:
When lining the eyes, start at the inner corner of the eye and apply with the side of the liner brush for the most precise line.
