Lancôme La Vie Est Belle EDP

Happy Chinese New Year everyone! Hope you have a great time with your family and friends! :D

Lancome Singapore is proud to launch La Via Est Belle in October 2012 and Julia Roberts is the face of the brand’s newest fragrance. This new feminine fragrance is considered the most luxury fragrance Lancome has ever launched.

La Via Est Belle EDP is now available in 30ml (S$98), 50ml (S$145) and 75ml (S$170) at all Lancome Beauty Counters.

La vie est belle”, a French words meaning “Life is beautiful”; a fragrance infused with meaning with both a conscience and a soul. Universal yet personal, Lancôme’s femininity is a choice embraced by women, not an imposed standard. The choice to live one’s life and fill it with beauty and own vision of happiness. The fragrance is a kind of outlook on life, inspired by joy and pleasure in small things.

The bottle was first created in 1949 by George Delhomme to symbolise the aura of women and capture the quintessence of happiness: the grace of a smile somehow cut into glass. The design was then archived, entitled “le sourire de cristal (the crystal smile). And only after 63 years later, it finally assumes its full significance with La vie est belle.

It took over a year to achieve the impossible and creating the rounded imprint of a smile at the heart of a crystal square in a feminine form.

The finishing touch of refinement: a pearlescent grey organza ribbon is tied around its neck, forming the twin wings of freedom.

I’m glad to receive a full-size 30ml bottle, many thanks to Lancome Singapore.

La vie est belle was developed by 3 French masters of perfumery – Olivier Polge, Dominique Ropion and Anne Flipo. After no fewer than 5521 versions and three years’ work, the final formula was finally born.

Iris is the key ingredient of the perfume, surrounded by orange blossoms and jasmine in the heart. The composition’s opening provides fruity flavors of black currant and pear, while the base is warm, gourmand and powdery due to almond-like accords of tonka bean, praline, patchouli and vanilla.

A true concentrate of luxury, La Vie Est Belle contains almost 50% natural ingredients. A proportion that is scarcely attempted in perfumery nowadays, making this without a doubt Lancome’s most exceptional fragrance.

Top Note: The elegance of Iris becomes the backbone of the fragrance. It blossoms from the first to the last note like never before.
Middle Note: The strength of Patchouli gives strength and depth.
Base Note: A sweet gourmand adds a burst of unexpected radiance.

La Via Est Belle EDP is now available in 30ml (S$98), 50ml (S$145) and 75ml (S$170) at all Lancome Beauty Counters.
