Kate Powderless Liquid Foundation SPF 20 PA++ – S$34.00 / 30ml

Formulated with Thin Film Fit Powder, the star product Kate Powderless Liquid Foundation contains coated pigments that are claimed to help correct visible skin problems and provide perfect coverage.

It has an ultra-light non-greasy texture that turns into powder within 15 seconds of application. It also includes a volatile oil ingredient that vaporises instantly upon application, allowing the foundation to adhere perfectly onto the skin without leaving it oily or sticky.

Kate Powderless Liquid Foundation gives a matte finish and my skin doesn’t feel greasy nor sticky at all. It is absolutely shine-free! The result is completely hassle-free as it eliminates the need to powder my face for a matte finish. As the foundation dries up pretty fast upon in contact with my skin, I find it a challenge to apply this foundation. I have to apply it on a small area at a time and I actually have to use more of this foundation (as compare to other brands’ foundation) for my whole face. The coverage is pretty good and it gives a light, matte, translucent and natural finish. Definitely ideal for those with oily skin types!

The shade, OC-B, matches my skin perfectly that I actually couldn’t tell which are the areas I’ve applied earlier.

Kate Powderless Liquid Foundation comes available in 6 varying skin tones.

Kate Slim Create Powder – S$27.00

Admiring the Japanese superstars and wanna to create a slimmer face shape like them, without the need of going under the knife? Well this Kate Slim Create Powder may able to help you achieve that!

This light and compact two-in-one powder palette, comprising of a lighlighter and shading powder, is specially developed to help create an instant slim and contour oval-faced perfection. It is formulated with sweat-proof and fade-resistant fitting and coating powder.

The shading powder creates shades along the face line, while the highlighter attracts light to the centre of the face, giving the illusion of a slimmer, contoured face.

I tested the highlighter by applying it on the centre of my face. Focusing on the centre of my forehead, a tinge on the nose bridge and the cheek areas (near the nose). I actually skip the cheek bone areas. Upon application, my face appeared glowing.

I then applied the shading powder along my jawline and outer sides of the jowl.

Thanks to its ultra light powder, the result is not harsh and overpowering.

Kate Deep Shiny Eyes – S$23.50

Kate Deep Shiny Eyes is a jewel-inspired three-shade eye shadow palette. The centre features a Glittering shade formulated with “Gloss Jewelry Pearl” that produces a highly lustrous and transparent shine, and the two palettes by the sides are Deep Night-themed shades formulated with a special ‘Black Star Pearl’ that helps to coat deep color pigments with shin. Its jewel-like lustrous radiance, together with deep colors, creates a beautiful harmony, giving eyes  deeply mysterious and shimmering finish. Let your jewel-studded eyes do the talking!

Application steps :

1. Take A on a fingertip or the larger tip of the applicator, adjust the intensity on the back of the hand, and lightly spread the shade over the whole eyelid.

2. Take B on the larger tip of the applicator and spread it from the edge of the eyelid towards the eyelid crease under the eyebrow.

3. Take C on the smaller tip of the applicator and spread it from the edge of the eyelid towards the eyelid crease under the eyebrows. To create a beautiful finish with shininess and deep shades, take A on a fingertip, adjust the intensity on the back of the hand, and apply the shade over the eyelid by gently pressing it on.

I adore earthy eyeshadow shades and this orange-brown palette (BR-1) looks great on me. It gives a shimmering, sparkling finishes that is suitable for day and night use. The color intensity is lightly sheer.

Kate Deep Shiny Eyes available in pink, orange-brown, brown, gold, blue and golden yellow.

Kate Limited Colour Super Sharp Liner – S$17.00

Kate Limited Colour Super Sharp Liner comes with an ultra thin brush that enables one to effortlessly draw ‘spider lines’ of any desired thickness easily and smoothly.

At an amazing 0.03mm width, this eyeliner is currently the thinnest finds in Japan’s market. Its water-repellent liquid ensures meticulously drawn delicate lines remain smudge-proof. This eyeliner is also designed to give wearers a long-lasting effect with its ability to repel water and perspiration. It is available in 2 special limited edition colors, night red and night blue, on top of its regular high black color (above picture) offering.

Kate Limited Colour Super Sharp Liner is one of the thinnest liquid eyeliner I’ve ever used so far. It is very easy to use and I can now draw my desired thickness at ease.

The only thing I’m not comfortable about this product is that it temporary stains my skin (the color turns purplish black while having eye makeup remover process). I have to make an extra effort to thoroughly and completely remove it by swipping my delicate upper eyelids a couple of times with soaked cotton pad (with makeup remover). Other than that, everything is great.

Here’s my complete look with the 4 new products – Kate Powderless Liquid Foundation, Kate Slim Create Powder, Kate Deep Shiny Eyes and Kate Limited Colour Super Sharp Liner. Plus the recently launched Kate Art Dial Mascara too.

Thanks for a great review! I’m really tempted to get the Powderless Liquid Foundation but i’m not sure which shade I should buy. Actually I thought OC-B would be very light but it looks just perfect on you so I guess it’s not overly pale? I must buy it online so can’t really try it first. :-) I think I must get the eye shadow trio too, it looks really pretty on you!

  2. Shirleen says:

    Hi Sara,

    You are welcome! :D

In fact, I didn’t get to try out the shades before obtaining the full size bottle. I choose the shade based on a color chart image given. I’ve added it onto the above post, do check it out.

Based on the color chart, this is my assumption :

BR-C – is the lightest color of all. It’s pretty pinkish and its suitable for extremely fair skin.
OC-B – is the lightest color under the neutral tone. It’s suitable for fair skin with slight yellow undertone.
    OC-C, OC-D & OC-G – from mid to dark neutral tones.
BE-C – the most yellowish tone of all!
