Review – Elizabeth Arden Prevage® Clinical Lash + Brow Enhancing Serum

NEW Elizabeth Arden Prevage® Clinical Lash + Brow Enhancing Serum 8-week journey!

If you have been following my blog, you probably are aware that I’ve embarked on a 8-week LASHES challenge which started a couple of weeks ago. Many thanks to Elizabeth Arden Singapore for sponsoring the Prevage® Clinical Lash + Brow Enhancing Serum!

Product Profile

Prevage Clinical Lash + Brow Enhancing Serum, Elizabeth Arden’s first lash serum, is a revolutionary new treatment clinically proven to make lashes and brows appear longer, fuller and healthier in probably as little as two weeks. The newest addition to the PREVAGE® family, it treats lash and brow breakage and brittleness due to aging, lack of nutrients and vitamins, and environmental assaults.

Developed in partnership with the world-renowned Bascom-Palmer Eye Institute, Elizabeth Arden’s Prevage® Clinical Lash + Brow Enhancing Serum is clinically proven and dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested. The safe and easy-to-use formula is fragrance and colorant free and is suitable for contact lens wearers.

You probably will ask why 8 weeks? Well, hair follows a three-phase growth cycle – anagen is the growth phase; catagen is the regressing phase; and telogen, the resting phase. Lashes are actively growing during the growth phase (anagen), and it lasts between 6 to 8 weeks.

Do you know only about 40 percent of the upper lashes and 15 percent of the lower lashes are in the anagen phase at any one time. Eyelashes do not grow as quickly as other hair on the body, typically it takes an eyelash several months to grow to its full length.

The super slim brush gives me more control that makes application easier. Like its consistency too.

Every night for the past 8 weeks, I have been faithfully applying the lash serum on my upper eyelashes, lower eyelashes and hairline, but occasionally forget about the hairline on some nights.

Lately, I have been troubling with my ascending hairline and tiny bald patches on the front side of my head which I reckon is due to aging. Upon receiving the lash serum, my first instinct was to ask myself should I try it on my hairline too? Why not right?! Though I do carelessly forget to apply on some nights but to my surprise I’m still able to see a significant improvement on my hairline.

Though I was having eye infection on my left upper eyelid (top section of the above image) prior using the lash serum, but thankfully during the 8 weeks challenge, the lash serum has never caused any further irritation to my delicate eye areas at all. And in fact, the infection heals on the second week of the challenge. :D

Elizabeth Arden’s Prevage® Clinical Lash + Brow Enhancing Serum

I was quite surprised to notice a great improvement upon 8 weeks of usage. My upper eyelashes on both eyes have appeared much much fuller. And some lashes seem to grow much longer actually! That’s amazing!

The lower eyelashes also grow much longer too! :D

Although I’m very lucky to be born with pretty long eyelashes, thanks to my parents’ good genes but in the recent years the lashes seem to fall out easily. That really worries me a lot actually. I’m glad I have tried the lash serum and I’m very pleased with the results. In fact I have skipped wearing volume building mascara nowadays. I can now give my lashes some good rest! :D

Will I buy it next time? Maybe!

    Hi Shirleen,

Do you have issues with the LOWER eyelashes falling off more easily after they grow longer after applying this?
I used the foltene eyelash lengthener sold in watsons years ago after i saw in their magazine that this was a bestseller of some sort. But i regret using it. My lower eyelashes fell off easily – maybe they lengthens or thickens and can;t carry the weight????, i have wider gaps between the lower eyelashes. I have a permanent bald spot/gap in my lower eyelashes since young, cos i cleaned my eyeslashes too hard with handkerchief since young every morning. I applied. I tried foltene and loreal ones to that area, to no avail. Do you think this can help me grow?
I didn’t notice anything wrong or significant growth in length on upper eyelashes, maybe a bit. I applied foltene on my eyebrow, it did help thickens my sparse eyebrow.
Have u tried talika? My concern is lower eyelashes. I want the eyelashes to grow back to be more dense and fill up all the bald gaps.
I will never believe all the marketing gimmick anymore.

      Hi Claire,

My lower eyelashes do not fall off easily after using EA Lash Serum. I’ve never tried other brands such as foltene and talika before hence I’m not too sure if they are better. I don’t think the fall out is caused by the weight or length. I believe the hair follicle is weak or in ‘sleeping’ state. EA Lash Serum may help to ‘wake up’ the hair follicle but do note that lower eyelashes are usually more fine and sparse.

    Hi Shirleen,

Just to check after few months, are u still using this? Just wanna check whether the effect will last?
And your lower eyeslashes do not all more easily than before right?
Still thinking whether to buy this for bald spots on my lower eye lashes.

Got something to say? Go for it!
