Elizabeth Arden Prevage White Targeted Skin Tone Corrector & Green Tea Camellia Fragrance

A couple of days before my departure to Japan, I’ve attended an event to preview the latest Elizabeth Arden Prevage® White Targeted Skin Tone Corrector & Green Tea Camellia Eau de Toilette Spray Vaporisateur held at COVA Pasticceria – Confetteria @ Paragon Orchard.

Yummy pastries was served during the event.

In fact a couple of weeks back, Elizabeth Arden has actually launched a similar product, its new White Glove Extreme Skincare Brightening Spot Corrector. This new and intensive spot corrector is an addition to the White Glove Extreme line.

And now once again, Elizabeth Arden is proud to introduce an innovative and powerful spot corrector under the famous Prevage line – Prevage® White Targeted Skin Tone Corrector. Both spot correctors have their own benefits.

Prevage® White Targeted Skin Tone Corrector has been launched islandwide beginning March 2011.

Angeline, the Regional Training Manager, explained the benefits of Prevage® White.

Have you ever noticed that people with age spots or skin discolorations will tend to look much older than their peers who do not have any? In fact, these age spots, freckles and skin discolorations are one of the hardest skin problems to solve.

Although melanin is the natural pigment that gives skin its color and natural protection, but unfortunately it is also the source of age spots, dark spots, freckles and hyper-pigmentation. Therefore when skin is exposed to harmful UV rays, excess melanin production can be activated in specific areas, leading to these skin discolorations.

High Performance Ingredients

Prevage® White Targeted Skin Tone Corrector, combines the proven whitening effects of Soy Ferulate-C, containing Vitamin C to help control melanin at its source, with the skin brightening benefits of revolutionary Idebenone to help skin regain its uncompromised clarity and youthful looking glow.

Soy Ferulate-C, an advanced blend of Vitamin C and Soy Ferulate, is known to protect skin from environmental assaults that can lead to pigmentation irregularities. Vitamin C, a proven whitening ingredient, is capable of disrupt the melanin production and prevent the formation of skin discolorations.

Like all Prevage® skincare products, the new Prevage® White formula also includes the high performance antioxidant – Idebenone. This powerful environmental protectant ingredient is proven to help prevent visible aging signs and shield skin from all 3 types of environmental assaults, which can lead to the appearance of discolorations, uneven skin tone and a loss of clarity.

With these powerful ingredients, Prevage® White is claimed to deliver proven benefits. Women who have tested the product reported that skin looked instantly radiant. After just 2 weeks, the appearance of dark spots began to improve. After 8 weeks, dark spots and discolorations looked lighter and less noticeable.

I actually like its lightweight orangey (Idebenone) texture. It absorbs onto the skin pretty well.

I’m currently using the White Glove Spot Corrector and I hope to finish it soon. I really can’t wait to try out the Prevage® White too.

Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Camellia

During the event, we also got to preview the new Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Camellia.

Rodrigo Flores-Roux, the perfume creator, was inspired by Ikebana (the ancient art of Japanese flower arrangement) to create this exotic and intriguing floral scent fragrance.

Rodrigo Flores-Roux was born in Mexico City and has worked at IFF New York, Givaudan and Quest.

So what is Ikebana? Ikebana is a far eastern traditional form of flower arrangement. The most elevated form of ikebana is known as chabana. The prefix Cha relates to its intimate relationship to the ceremony of tea. Very frequently the centerpiece for this flower arrangement is a very specific kind of fragrant camellia know as sasanqua. Its delicate fragrance combines peony, rose and mandarin tree blossom notes with a delicate tea nuance.

Therefore Elizabeth Arden reconstituted this elusive scent and infused it into the new Elizabeth Arden Green Tea DNA as a starting point for this exciting but delicate fragrance.

I actually like the scent very much! Very refreshing and soothing! The scent makes me feel calm and I have been using it almost daily. How I wish the scent can last longer, the scent could only last for not more than 3 hours. It is definitely ideal to use it in the day.

If you are fond of green tea and camellia, you wouldn’t want to miss this original luxurious green tea fragrance too.

*The Camellia Sasanqua Accord was inspired by a Givaudan ScentTrek to Sri Lanka.

What is ScentTrek? Imagine if you could bottle the air as you walk through a field. The smell of a flower, the crisp scent of the air, the subtle texture of the earth, the lush scent of petals. ScentTrek allows a perfumer to capture the scent of plants that flourish in nature without disturbing or cutting them, preserving their precious essence for the future. ScentTrek is a high tech device that captures scent molecules diffused by the plant, eliminating the need to distill oil from the plant itself. What’s left is an imprint of the odor molecules. The perfumer can recreate this experience, almost like a scented snapshot of the flower in a particular moment of time.

How was ScentTrek technology used to create Green Tea Camellia? Upon encountering blossoms of Camellia sasanqua in a private garden in Asia, we used the ScentTrek technology to recreate this scent. The molecules were captured as the petals of this graceful flower were just about to reach their full bloom.
