Walking Down The Memory Lane With These Pretty Vintage Clothing

.

Two weeks ago, while I was doing some errands near Bugis, I decided to check out the stores at Bugis Village. I hardly patronize the area as I always feel that they are selling clothing mostly from Thailand and China with cheap fabrics and bad workmanship. But I was quite surprised to discover a pretty interesting shop at Bugis Village at level 2 called The Good Old Days.

.

At this vintage shop, I can find pretty dresses, top, jackets, shoes, scarfs, bags, belts and accessories in 60s – 70s fashion.

.

After browsing through in less than 5 minutes, I have picked up 4 dresses that I would like to try on. Each individual piece is special and unique, and there is no repetition on the design/material at all. And I don’t have to worry of me wearing the same piece as others. The prices are reasonable that ranges from S$35 to S$69 for dresses.

.

It seems to me that the clothing are not done locally, they are imported from China or probably Taiwan. I believe they are all hand-sewn and are ‘original’ authentic vintage clothing.

This long sleeved piece reminds me of Lin Ching Hsia in 70s era. I can imagine her wearing this full piece dress during the era.

.

The buttons and trimmings are so authentically vintage. I really love the fabrics! All so unique and the qualities are excellent! I reckon I wouldn’t be able to find most of these fabrics anymore.

Most dresses comes with full lining that are flattering to most body shape. The workmanship is pretty good although I do find a little default on one of the piece I’ve bought. The material is a little torn at one corner which I’ve managed to mend it myself.

.

This top is real cool but I wouldn’t dare to wear it hee hee………..

.

Here are the 3 dresses I have bought that range from $36 to $59.90.

Love the fabric and design that plays with vertical and horizontal lines. It comes with a long bow that can be wrapped around the neck or head.

Love the vintage look and sleeveless cut. I look mature with this dress.

I really look very slim with this lovely chiffon dress. My favorite of all!

The Good Old Days is giving away 10% discount if you purchase more than 2 pieces of clothing.
