Review – Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation SPF 16 PA++

After 10 years of research, 7 patents pending – Lancome is proud to present its first foundation that recreates the AURA of perfect skin – Lancome Teint Miracle Natural Light Creator Bare Skin Perfection Foundation SPF 16 PA++.

I was fortunate to be invited recently for a sneak preview of the Lancome’s new innovative Teint Miracle Liquid Foundation (S$65) and Teint Miracle Perfecting Corrector Pen (S$56) which both will be launching in October. Juliet Roberts is the spokesman for these products.

Lancome Teint Miracle Natural Light Creator Bare Skin Perfection Foundation SPF 16 PA++ (S$65)

The first thing that attracted me is its prestige and elegant looking crystal and silver bottle. I actually like its petite size which is slightly taller than my iPhone. Teint Miracle comes in 7 shades and I have selected the O-03 for its natural tone.

You will probably ask what so great about this foundation, well Lanc´me’s breakthrough Teint Miracle, with AURA-INSIDE technology, recreates the true natural lights of a perfect skin. With miracle of light, skin instantly appears lit-from-within, transparent and flawless.

Now, Aura Is A Science.
See your skin lit-from-within.

Research has demonstrated that light is not only reflected on the surface. It is also re-emitted from deep within the skin. This is in SKIN’S INNER LIGHT. It is believed that 5% is reflected but 95% penetrates skin (epidermis and dermis) and which 55% is absorbed and 40% is re-emitted at the surface.

When light penetrates skin, it will transforms into a pinkish radiance because melanin and haemoglobin absorb mainly blue colours. Factors such as fatigue, dryness and aging occur, surface radiance is minimized, because light cannot reflect as well on an irregular texture. Inner light loses both intensity and purity as it is absorbed more by melanin, especially the bluish components.

Lanc´me decrypts the inner light of perfect skin using PINKISH and BLUISH light

Pinkish light, which play a part on intensity and vividness of skin’s inner light, improves skin radiance and gives a healthy glow. When microcirculation decreases, pinkish light loses intensity and skin’s inner lights its global radiance hence complexion becomes greyish and dull-looking.

Bluish light, which provides freshness and purity, diminishes regularly with age, as it is increasingly absorbed by rising levels of melanin. Complexion will therefore loses the crystal clear transparent and radiance look.

Unique Liquid Essence

Teint Miracle contains the essence of light which is 5 times smaller than traditional mother of pearl, helps to maximize skin’s surface radiance without creating shiny finish.

Without makeup (except lipgloss)

I’m not into makeup and I always like something natural and almost transparent on my skin. I hardly put on foundation and the only thing I like is the loose powder after my sunscreen to create matt finished. Plus a little blusher on my cheek and lipstick will do the tricks of a complete look for me. I have redness/rosacea on my skin and I will always require to use a green primer to reduce the look of redness. Plus yellow concealer to cover my dark eye circles. And now I can keep these products in my drawer and all I need is one product, after I have discovered Teint Miracle. :-)

I have received Teint Miracle on Friday evening and I’ve started using it on the following day for a video filming session. I remembered it was an extremely hot afternoon and I was standing right under the sun for almost 15 minutes waiting for a cab. I was so afraid my makeup would melt but surprisingly the foundation didn’t melt or smudge at all. My makeup was still as perfect as it was earlier. My friend even compliment I look great on that day. Henk!!

I have now applied Teint Miracle on both sides of my face. Overall, it gives a natural and almost nude look and I really love it.

I have also enhanced the bridge of my nose, inner cheek and above eyebrow areas using the NEW Teint Miracle Multi-Lights Perfecting Corrector Pen (S$56). It comes in 3 shades (fair, medium and dark) and is great for concealing, enhancing or contouring. I have selected the lighter tone No. 1 for highlighting. It contains the same AURA-INSIDE Technology as the foundation. It is ultra-hydrating, light and non-oily, love the texture. Dermatologically and ophtalmologically tested, it is definitely suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers to conceal their dark eye circles. :-)

With 10 times less opaque fillers’ (barely 0.5%) and almost 40% water (compared with the average 20%), Teint Miracle is miraculously light and translucent in texture.

I love the water-in-oil texture, very light and non-oily. Teint Miracle is so lightweight that I feel as if I’m wearing no makeup at all. No more cakey look! Yeah!! :-) My skin can now breathe at least! The slightly matt finished doesn’t require me to apply any loose powder at all. My skin doesn’t feel shiny nor sticky at all. It has good coverage even on red bumps and dark eye circles and most of my imperfections are gone. Goodbye to my concealer and primer hahaha!!! I love the finished look, so natural, transparent, dewy and flawless! Nevertheless, Teint Miracle is considered one of the best foundation I have tested so far.

Teint Miracle not only provides good coverage but also provides hydration up to 18 hours. Woohoo!!

Now I have my complete look with blusher, eye shadow, eye liner, Lanc´me Virtu´se Mascara and Lanc´me L’Absolu Cr©me de Brillance Lipgloss (S$40) (color No.6/Rose Nu). Really love the Lanc´me Mascara and Lipgloss so much! Muacks!!

I really love the creamy satin texture of the L’Absolu Cr©me de Brillance Lipgloss (S$40).

It contains Pro-Xylane (the most powerful anti-aging molecule), Hyaluronic Acid (a high concentration of Glycerin) and Moisture Fix Complex. Lips instantly smoothen, nourished, plumped and hydrated for up to 10 hours.

L’Absolu Cr©me de Brillance Lipgloss (color No.6/Rose Nu)

I hope, I wish I can have flawless skin like yours too now and 10 years later..

Seriously you don’t look your age..

Saw your picture taken with the Taiwanese NRWZD guy, both of you easily pass off as late 20s.. (“,)

  6. Shirleen says:

    Hi Sharon,

    Thanks thanks! I’m so flattered!

Hee hee…….Niu Er is actually 1 year older than me. I guess it does pay off having to spend 3/4hr (me) and 2hrs (him) on our daily meticulous skincare night regimen. :-)

  7. Germaine says:

Hi Shirleen, After seeing how wonderful and beautiful you look after using the foundation, I rushed out and got myself a bottle together with the pen and even the gloss!!! Well, i can honestly say that it is not suitable for someone with oily skin such as myself. Within half an hour, my skin was so oily that one sheet of shiseido pureness oil blotting paper was not enough to bolt my face. This was inspite of using Lancome press powder on top. The next time i tried, I used half the amount but was still very oily. Eventhough it’s a oil-free formula, but because of the high moisture content in the foundation, it is really not suitable for oily skin. However, the texture is very nice and easy to blend and feels very light on the skin. So it will be prefect for normal and dry skin. The lip gloss is fantastic. The color is so nice and texture not tacky at all…Anyway, you really look great for ur age. Keep up the good job.

  8. Shirleen says:

    Hi Germaine,

Thanks for sharing your feedback and your compliment.

It’s such a waste the foundation doesn’t really suit you. Yes the lip gloss is fantastic! Love the texture and the color! ;-)

  9. Lady M says:

Hmm…would really love to try it…looks great on you. Do you think sampling is still available?

  10. Shirleen says:

    Hi Lady M,

Yes, the sampling is still available islandwide. ;-)

  11. Brittany says:

It looks lovely and so natural…. I would just recommend a darker and mor© yellow shade… It will blend better with your neck! Our faces are always lighter than the rest of us.. But a darker tint will give you a beautiful golden glow to go with the rest of your body :)

  12. Shirleen says:

    Hi Brittany,

    Thanks for your suggestion. ;)

  13. Queenie says:

Will you buy it again? I’ve dehydrated skin and my t zone is oily. im working in an air conditioned environment. will you recommened this to me?

  14. Shirleen says:

    Hi Queenie,

I will definitely. I have slight dehydrated skin and slight oily nose tip too. But in order for the foundation to stay better, I will apply prima/base before the foundation.

Yes it is recommended to use Teint Miracle in an air conditioned room even if you have dehydrated or oily skin. I only notice slight smudging on oily nose tip in the evening after a long day.

  15. Shirley says:

    hi Shirleen,

I also think you have skin that can glow in the dark! (shining from within without make-up). I wanted to get Bo-02 yellow teint fountation after spotting a review from the net that this # is suitable for yellow asians but the Lancome SA told me otherwise that I should use pink tone to cover my yellow? SHe even commented that 02 is too yellow and we shouldnt wear the liquid fountation alone but top it with 2 way cake or loose power? What do you think, is she right? At last i bought BO-01 which i think is a bit too fair but still manage to carry it without too “mask” like, hehe. Any suggestion on which shade should I pick if I want a bright and “look healthy” shade? is it Pink shades? Tks v much and hope to hear from u soon!

  16. Shirley says:

    Sorry I posted twice unknowingly

  17. Shirleen says:

    Hi Shirley,

I wonder if you are very fair or have a greyish yellow undertone then pink tone foundation may be suitable for you. 02 is too yellow for you? I reckon she probably wants to give you a radiance skin tone with a tinge of pink.

For me, I have a pink undertone and pink foundation doesn’t really look good on me cos I will look as though I’m flushing all day long. And hence I have to choose a slightly yellowish tone foundation instead.

It is good to dust a tinge of loose powder over the liquid foundation for a matte finish but I wouldn’t recommend using 2-way cake cos it will make you look too heavily ‘make-up’. Don’t forget both liquid foundation and 2-way cake are foundations.

  18. Shirley says:

    Dear Shirleen,

    hi again!

Haha I dont ready know my skin tone and guess that I am fair with beige/yellow tone and I actually prefer/use power foundation and BB cream most of the time. It was after I read about this teint miracle (and ur gd review) then I decided to give it a shot.

For power I am always using 01 the lightest shade so is it the same when comes to liquid founsation? Perhaps u are right and I don mind to try out pink shades as like i said i like to brighten up my face and in order to achieve your kind of glow, I should buy the Paula AHA to scrub my face to shed off the dead cell…thankful to have view your blog as I found most AHA peels on mkts are quite strong and bring redness to my face after use. Lastly, i oso have post acne scars to deal with as it is not easy to completely erase them so i could only hope to lighten them in the long run.

  19. Shirley says:

BTW forget to ask have u heard of snail cream? (claim to remove scar etc)

  20. Shirleen says:

    Hi Shirley,

No, I’ve never. I will give it the benefit of the doubt.

Got something to say? Go for it!
