Treatment Review – Titan Facelift For Skin Tightening (Before & After)

Titan Facelift promotes a new skin tightening procedure that uses infrared waves to heat the deep layers of the skin and tighten the skin.

My first experience

In fact, I did my first Titan Facelift treatment eight years ago when it was fairly new at that time. The result was disappointing, as there was no visible improvement at all. Well, I guess it may be due to the fact that I was in my early 30s then.

Since then, I feel that it might not be the right treatment for skin tightening and I withhold the thought of trying it again.

before treatment

My first signs of skin aging

I’m always trouble with my nasolabial folds and marionette lines, which make me look much older than I should. This skin aging is due to the frequent sun tanning in my late 20s, no sunscreen protection before aged 33, severe insomnia for a year and extreme stress between 2002 – 2006.

Dr Chee Yew Wen

But a recent visit to my regular aesthetician (Dr Chee at Wen & Weng), who advised me to give this treatment a try again. Dr Chee, the founder of Wen & Weng Medical Group, often gives practical and honest advises and his charges are usually reasonable.

1 month after treatment

It has been a month and for now I’m quite happy with the results. Titan Facelift not only helps to reduce my nasolabial folds and marionette lines significantly. And it also tighten the loose skin along the jawline and in the lower cheek.

Dr Chee claims that I will see more results in the next 2-3 months and the final result will usually take place in 5 months.

No downtime is required.

Will I try again? Yes of course!

juz realised that it is Dr Chee Yew Wen that you are talking about…
does this treatment help dark eye circles and “hollow” skin under the eyes as well? (eye rejuvenation)

    Hi Josephine,

I can’t remember the exact cost but I think is somewhere $600+ for my half face treatment (from nostril to jawline). And approx $1500 for whole face I guess.

I used to have the same problem as you – dark eye circles and hollow skin under eyes. Titan doesn’t help to remedy dark eye circles at all but as for hollow eyes, it may help by tightening the skin a little.

The hollow skin under the eye areas is usually due to the fat loss as you age. Dr Chee has tried injecting fillers to pump up the hollowness. But the result was quite bad, it created a lump which looks quite unsightly. But luckily the lump goes away after 6 months.

And because you have hollow skin, the dark eye circles will be prominent as the skin there becomes thinner. In fact there are many causes for dark eye circles. If your dark eye circles are due to the skin thinning (like me), for me I remedy it by applying vitamin C serum to thicken and lighten the skin and boost collagen. Plus daily point massage for better blood circulation and regular IPL (or laser) to lighten the pigmentation and improve blood vessels.

For my hollow skin, I have tried on Fraxel around my eye areas and it does help a bit. Fraxel helps to remove the dead skin on the top layer and the new skin below surface up and is tighten. It has also helped to reduce the fine lines around the eye areas.

hihi Shirleen, do u mind reviewing your fraxel treatment and explain a bit more about it?

    TIA :)

  5. Shirleen says:

    Hi Sparkle,

I have done the Fraxel on my eye areas at National Skin Centre. It is actually a fractional resurfacing ablative laser which is gentler and less wounding to the skin as compare to other ablative treatment.

This treatment can penetrate deep into my dermis without burning the top layer of the skin. Hence little downtime is required.

When the top layer dead skin peel off, the new skin appear tighter and it helps to pull tight the hollowness and/or puffy areas. And I’ve noticed it also helps to lighten the pigmentation and reduce the fine lines too.

For me, I will definitely go for fraxel again. But sadly NSC doesn’t provide this treatment anymore. I will need to look for alternative doctor then. :-)
